Monochromatic Cards made with Crate Paper Carousel

Hi Crate Paper Fans! It’s Flóra here today. I am sharing two new cards made with the gorgeous Carousel collection. The theme was monochrome, so I chose two of my favorite colors, pink and teal to create the cards.

For the first 4x6 card a gathered all teal and mint paper from Carousel collection and cut 5/8 wild paper stripes and placed them on a cardstock diagonally. I run over on every second stripes with sewing machine.

I trim a 3x4 vellum piece and placed in the middle. I fixed it on the top with machine stitching as well. I embellished the card with a thick zebra chipboard, Cardstock Sticker, Puffy start and heart Stickers. In the end I complete the title with a Clear Sticker.

The second card was made with the same concept. I used 5/8 pink strips, but this time I placed them vertical. I used a vellum piece again to tone down a busy background.

I added a fussy cut black & white flower behind the swan Chipboard. I created the XO with Swing and Happy Thickers. I think the alpha layering looks so cool. How do you like it? In the end I also added a label and Clear Sticker to create a title.

This is the first time I have created monochrome cards and I must tell, it was a ton of fun. I love the result so much that will keep them for myself. That is it for today! Thanks for stopping by! Flóra
