Pink Paislee stamp idea - Paige Evans

Hi everyone! New day, new scrapbook layout on Paige Evan's blog. This time I spiced up my project with a DIY embellishment. Paige has already revealed two amazing stamps: the roller stamp is from the Take Me Away collection and the mini clear stamp set comes from the brand new Oh My Heart collection. I used both of them on my recent project!

First of all I cut out heart shapes from white cardstock with a Sizzix. Then I stamped with the Pink Paislee stamps using VersaMark ink. I decided to use heat embossing technique, so I covered the images with copper Zing embossing powder.

I was very satisfied with the result as it matched the gorgeous rose gold foil embellishments from Oh My Heart collection. I cut out one size bigger hearts from Paper 05, Paper 10, and Paper 14. I pinned the hearts together with machine stitching - with this technique they also get a 3D effect. I love the way it turned out.

I placed my photo and DIY hearts on my favorite paper (Paper 08) and added lots of foiled elements. I found the perfect title and pretty flowers in the Ephemera Die Cuts and awesome sentiments in the Sticker Book. I had a feeling my layout was too empty, so I gathered tiny hearts from the Chipboard Stickers and Charms. It's so awesome that my DIY embellishment coordinate perfectly with the other ones from the collection as they have same patterns!

This layout is pretty different what I usually do, but I like the final result! I hope you find today's post inspiring!

Guest Designing for Studio Forty

Hi there! I am very excited today as I ama guest designer on the Studio Forty blog. I recieved the pretty clear stamps long ago from Monika. It was really hard to choose which one the use first, as there are so many possibilities.
My first project is a 12x12 scrapbook layout. I am still in Valentine's Day mood so I used many hearts, red & pink on my project. First, I placed few paper stripes on the white cardstock, then I made two string art diamond with matching threads.

After this I placed my photos, I started to create DIY embellishments with Studio Forty stamp sets. I used the Words in circles stamps with black ink and fussy cut the prints. I also created two title cards using Life is Sweet stamp set. I really like the fonts of the sentiments.

After all I adhered stickers from the Cool Words sheet. They are truly cool and love how they cheer up my page.

My other project is a card along a handmade matching envelope.

I stamped the leaves from Botanicals stamp set on a light green patterned paper. The result is simply stunning. Then, I fussy cut few flowers and gathered them in the middle of the card.

For the center I created my title with Life is Sweet stamp set and gold embossing technique.
To finish off my project I folded a pink envelope and created a matching insert with Botanicals stamp set.

I really hope you like my new scrapbook layout and card and you find inspiration. Thanks for having me as a guest designer today!
Happy crafting Studio Forty Fans!

Meeting Maggie Holmes - Crate Paper

Hello! I am back with a new scrapbook layout made with Crate Paper products. Today, I would like to share with you a very special photo what I documented. I was extremely lucky to meet Maggie Holmes in January on the CHA. What else could I use for this photo then her newest collection, Chasing Dreams.

I was thinking a lot which paper to use as a background, but in the end I decided Portrait paper. This busy contrasty paper is out of my comfort zone but I really wanted to try.

I needed big colorful elements to compensate the monochrome background so I fussy cut many flowers from the Garden Club paper. I arranged them around a photo to drive the eyes to the focal point. I mainly adhered the flowers with foam tape which gives depth to the layout.

One of the fussy-cuttable paper is Monarch. I cut out two bluish butterflies as also the photo contains blue, so needed to add some.

For embellishing I used the cute parrot with bird cage what is my favourite from the Chipboard Sheet. I also scattered Vintage Buttons on the page. They also helped me to create the visual triangle. I couldn’t resist to add a bit of gold on my project, but this time I was low-key. I must tell you that I added the puffy textil heart in the last moment (while I was taking photos of the page), but I am very satisfied with my decision.

These days I don’t write long journaling but this project is an exception. I chose one of the empty frame under to photo to keep my thoughts.
