Birthday layout - Hip Kit Club

Hello there! Today I am sharing a new colorful, happy layout what I created with March 2017 Hip Kit. This is an excellent mix of Pink Pailsee – Paige Evans Oh My Heart, Dear Lizzy Lovely Day and Pinkfresh Studio Dream On collection. I am still amazed by their compatibility. Kimberly made amazing job with mixing & matching these product.

The starting point of my project was the rainbow Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Dreamer Paper. As this was too busy, I needed a neutral paper to against the other one. I picked the Pink Paislee – Paige Evans – Oh My Heart – Paper 24 and trimmed diagonally. Then I placed my photo and started to embellish my layout.

I used loooots of fun elements like die cuts from Pink Paislee – Paige Evans – Oh My Heart – Ephemera pack and Shimelle – Little by Little – Accent Stickers. These came with the March 2017 Main Kit. This month Embellishment Kit is mind blowing. Believe me the Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day Thickers are the most beautiful alpha stickers in the earth! I also added couple of Pinkfresh Studio – Dream On – Rubber Chips because they are super cute.

From the March 2017 Project Life Kit I used American Crafts – Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Ephemera, Sticker Roll Tags and Pinkfresh Studio – Dream On – Studio Puff Stickers, as well as Pinkfresh Studio – Live More – Phrase Stickers.

I really really love the happy and pretty result. I hope you also find it inspiring. Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend! Flóra

Secret Garden - Crate Paper

4/17/2017 Flora Monika Farkas 0 Comments

Hi there! I am back with a new 12x12 scrapbook layout. Spring is here so I decided to create a spring themed project. I gathered all the cute embellishments from Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection and brought to life a "secret garden” scene.

To begin, I chose the pretty My Darling floral paper as the upper background. For the bottom I used the Delightful paper, which has a neutral pattern. This helps to against the busy pattern. After I trimmed the papers I placed many Thicker frames on the their meeting point along with the photo. I know my photo is not the best, but this is what I found about me and my Mom. Sometimes not the perfect smile matters, just the feelings and memories.

Then, the fun part began. I backed all of the frames with different papers. I added all the cute animals, like bunny, butterfly and swan from Sticker and Thicker sheet. I also scattered couple of Vintage Buttons and Phrase Stickers around the page. I tried to collect all the elements what can fit to my "secret garden” theme.

On these project I used up two of my favorite Chipboards. I am thinking of the gorgeous flowers and the books. It’s always a hard question what to do with the favourite elements from a collection. Hoard them or use them? I decided not to save them anymore, as with every new collection new favourites will come. Where else could be their best place but on my layouts?

Chasing Dreams gave me so many stunning material to document my favourite spring memories. No wonder I am in love with every single piece. I hope you will also have a chance to play with these beauties and create pretty new projects! Flóra

Pink Paislee Oh My Heart 12x12 paper pad - Paige Evans

4/16/2017 Flóra Mónika Farkas 5 Comments

Hi there! Today I am back with a page featuring the Pink Paislee 12x12 Paper Pad. Last time I mentioned that this pad includes papers with rose gold foil. It also contains 12x12 die cuts! This is a really great option for those who doesn’t own cutting machine.

I chose the floral die cut and backed every petal with a different patterned paper. For this I used the “smart” Paper 10 which offers many different mini papers. I really love this idea from Paige’s collections, as you don’t need to cut into lots of papers for this kind of project. After all flowers were done I place the die cut on the soft pink B-side of Paper 06

I printed out my photo which I took during CHA at the Pink Paislee booth. I made pretty layers from paper pieces and bigger Die Cuts under the photo. I cheer up this area with foiled clear stickers from the Sticker BookEphemera Die Cuts, and couldn’t resist adding a tiny Charm as well. I felt the center of the flowers were empty, so I completed them with Thickers.

It was so relaxing to play with the 12x12 die cut! I can’t wait to try the other options from the 12x12 Paper Pad
Thanks for stopping by!

Easy DIY vase decor - Crate Paper

4/05/2017 Flóra Mónika Farkas 0 Comments

Hi! Today I am going to share with you some easy easter/spring decoration ideas. With this tip you can cheer up your easter table but you can also use it later as spring home decor. I used two regular jars and turned them to pretty vases. It happens many times that I don’t have the right size of vase, so jar can be a good solution for the future. I thought I would create a lasting decoration around the chosen jars. I used the lovely Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection for my project.

First of all I chose a few patterned papers and acetate, then I cut strips, wide and narrow ones as well. I placed the papers top of each other and adhered them. On the acetate belt I scattered phrases stickers and added a Fringe Butterfly in the middle.

On the other one I placed a cute bird from the 12x12 Chipboard Sheet and a lovely yellow flower sticker. I wanted to keep the decoration simply so they don’t distract the attention from the bouquets.

Because the belts are made from paper, they can be damaged easily while changing the water, so I made them removable and reusable. I actually trim them shorter then the diameter of the jars, so I punch a holes in the end and fix them with eyelets. Then I tied them with pretty ribbons. That way they got extra decoration and they can be removed, stored and reused as many time as you want.

I can’t wait to be spring! These two bouquets of flowers will make time pass easier. I hope you like today's post. If you have some free time try to use your scrapbook supplies for home decor as well. It will be great fun! Flóra
