Scrapbooking, cardmaking and paper crafting

Watermelon season

This year we bought and ate lots of mellifluous watermelons. I made this layout to remember these nice memories how we had fun. Sometimes we cut it in small pieces but sometimes we just could not wait and grabbed it and ate it... like on this photo. :D
For the layout I used mainly the Scrapfellow September Kit. I thing this floral paper really fit to the September Mood Board of Jot Magazine.

The colors of the mood board is very far away from me. It was very hard to make this LO, I just don't feel confident with red and blue..and let's not talk about how much of papers, embellishments or anything I have in these colors. :D

I was working again with an old black and white photo. The size of the layout is 8"x8" because this fits into this frame from IKEA. I like to give my layouts with frame as a gift, so the gift recipient does not have to fiddle with the framing.
I made this layout for my brother for his birthday. He is in the middle of the photo with his first "vehicle" and with our Father and Grandfather. :-) I mainly used Pink Paislee products for this LO. The papers are from Atlas collection. The embellishments are from Hello Sunshine collection and I also made die cuts from the Atlas papers .
To start the page was a bit difficult because of the boyish colors. I hope you see that I could not help myself and I smuggled a little pink. I wanted a fun, playful, boyish layout, which is not very baby style. I feel like I could put together something like this. :-)

Perhaps I already said that although I really like to document the actual memories in a mini-album or on a scrapbook layout, I have place in my heart for old photos to add them a new "dress". Although the scrapbook etiquette (if any exists) would require any vintage or shabby garnish , I more see the challenge to get a modern look without any aged paper, lace, beige, brown and off-white colors.

So it was with that portrait photo too, which was taken once about my grandmother. I knew immediately that Kaisercraft Oh so lovely paper will fit the best. The handwriting paper reminds me to her writing, the pink paper on the side reminds me of on old wallpaper on a saloon wall, the lace pattern reminds of a fine lace collar on a beautiful dress. With the frames I wanted to give an effect as in a portion of my ancestors hall. The white and pink paper flowers give femininity, subtlety and purity, pearls give some dignitaries to the total picture. My Grandmother was a modest woman, I doubt she would have had a lot of beautiful, expensive things, so in my own way I wanted to give her all the beauty. :-)

With the title there was a little trouble because I would like to complet it. ... like always: nice / young / with us / remember you... then I concluded that everyone should finish it the way he likes, depengin on what the layout tells/means to him.
I loved to prepare the layout, for me it was a real time travel.

And the details...

Blue, pink and gold

Still sea, but I have so many beautiful photos and memories of it. :-) I took this photo in Izola (Slovenia) during the sunset while we were preparing to leave but many are bathed in the sea. I really love this place and spirit, with the unique colors I am sticking completely. I built the whole layout around these beautiful colors: blue, pink and gold, what is maybe a bit extraordinary color combo.

The site preparation began with all the matching colors things gathered together  from my stock, then took out those elements that fit the theme. Then I began to piece together the whole layout and slowly evolved. There are many decorative parts were used: gold bow Maggie Holmes, Heidi swap frame and puffy sticker, Pink Paislee die cuts, Washi Tape. On the two side I used polka dots stencil with Pentart gold glitter paste and Pentart pink Mist, the arrow above is a Tattoo. :-)

Week in the life

Together with some Hungarian scrapbookers we will start to document our lives for a week long. The original date set by Ali Edwards for many of us was not good, so we decided to postpone the event. For me, this will be the first Week in the Life project. I am very enthusiastic, especially because I will try to motivate a handful team. :-)
Over the weekend I made my album vase. I decorated a little gray folder outside and filled it with empty papers. Every day will get four sides. The embellishments are also ready. Last night I took a couple of tabs and labels from Silhouette Design Store and cut them out. I printed a couple of blank labels and covered some chipboards with gold foil.
I'm ready. And you? :)

A díszítőelemek is harca készen. Tegnap este vettem a Silhouette Desing Store-ban pár taget, amiket kivágtam, valamint nyomtattam pár üres címkét és aranyfóliáztam chipboardokat.
Én készen állok. És Te? :)

We agreed with my boyfriend that this year we had on of the most beautiful holiday ever. We had amazing time in Pag-Croatia. This is our favorite place in the world. He made this photo about me before raining. The colors of the nature were breathtaking.
For the page I used Crate Paper Journey stickers and Dear Lizzy title sticker and enamel dots. In the small bottle is send from the beach.
Please read my comment to understand better my feelings as I can't describe it better. :-)
