Hi Ladies! The April Challenge is here and this is not an April Fool's joke. :) This time I want you to use your 6x6 patterned paper pads to create a patchwork inspired layout or card. To mimic the perfect patchwork look add hand or machine stitches to your project. It may seem hard for the first time but type patchwork to Pinterest and check out the tons of photo to pick up an idea. Let me show you what I made for the April Challenge.
I love love love cut files and when I have time love to back them with patterned papers. It's always better to use 6x6 paper pad for this kind of projects because the patterns are smaller. But don't worry if you have only 12x12 papers the result will be still stunning. However, I decided to back a cut file this is not a requirement, you can use any other techniques to create the patchwork look. For my page, I used the lovely My Mind's Eye Splendor collection. I built the page on a blush smooth cardstock and placed in the middle the diamond cut out. This cut file is from Inna Moreva, you can get yours HERE. It's so beautiful, right?
After the backing was done, I placed my photo and decorated the page with Chipboard Stickers and fussy cut flowers. I also added a few phrase stickers and a date stamp. I really wanted to add more embellishments as usually but this page just needed to be less decorated so I kept it simple.
In the end, I added very nice machine stitches using light blush thread. Study your machine and use the decorative stitching styles this time!
