Giga Cactus layout

Sziasztok! Felkerült végre a blogomra is az első alkotás, amit a like for ever vendégalkotójaként alkottam. Az áprilisi kit fantázia neve 'Little Things', ami a csodaszép My Mind’s Eye On Trend 2 kollekciót foglalja magában. Nagyon tetszik, mert egyszerre tavaszi és nyári, és rengeteg arany fólia került a díszítőelemekre. Ettől olyan elegáns az egész. 
Nem is tudtam hirtelen mivel kezdjek, nehéz volt a választás. Aztán úgy döntöttem, először a giga kaktusz ötletet valósítom meg. A kaktusz sziluettjét egy The Cut Shoppe vágófájlból kölcsönöztem.  A zöld-fehér csíkos papírt választottam alapul, amit fehér krepp papír rojtokkal dobtam fel. Die cut és matrica virágokat ragasztottam a kaktuszomra, a virágzást imitálva. Egyértelmű volt, hogy az oldalam címe az arany akril feliratokból kerül ki, meseszépek. Igazából nem sikerült eldöntenem, hogy az akril matricák vagy a miltonok a kedvenceim-e szóval biztos, ami biztos felhasználtam jó pár miltont és enamel pöttyöt is.

Hi lovely ladies! I’m sharing my first layout as April’s Guest Designer at like for ever .

First of all, I have to say that I love the ‘Little Things’ Kit with lots of My Mind’s Eye On Trend 2 collection. The colors are amazing: Spring and Summer at the same time and gold foil everywhere. This give an elegant touch to the whole collection. I couldn’t decide where to start because I would have preferred to just stroke the papers and adore them but this is obviously not possible as a Guest Designer, right?
I had the idea to make a huge cactus (cut file from The Cut Shoppe) as this is so trendy nowadays and also decided to use my new fringe scissors to add some unusual texture to my page. The fringes are created with white crepe paper from my stash. I also chose big flowers from the ephemera pack and sticker sheet to look like the cactus would bloom right now. It was as clear as day that the acrylic shape would be my title. I can’t decide if the acrylic shapes or the gorgeous brads are my favourite so I also added lots of brads and enamel dots just in case.

Sokáig gondolkoztam és keresgéltem milyen fotó illene ebbe a kompozícióba, aztán megtaláltam ezt a tavalyi nyári fotót (most jöttem rá, hogy a nyári fotókat még nem is dokumentáltam igazán). Nyaralásunk utolsó napján készült ez a kép Pagon (hol máshol?), nagyon-nagyon-nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, ez a kép számomra összefoglalja az egy hetünk összes csodaszép pillanatát. Pagról sokan mondják, hogy olyan kietlen, mint a hold... úgyhogy a kaktusz teljesen témába vág, a virágok pedig a mi virágzó szerelmünket... azt hiszem ez már túl romantikusra sikeredett, inkább abbahagyom. :P Inkább jöjjön néhány közelebbi fotó:

I had to search out a photo what would fit the layout and found this lovely photo of us. It was taken last year during our summer holiday in Pag-Croatia. We took it on the last day so it really summarises our beautiful vacation. Have you ever been to Pag? If not check it out on the internet. A lot of people say it’s like the moon with no plants. The cactus also fits to the theme with our love as the blooming flowers. OK, I will stop now, it’s just to much romanticism! Let’s finish with some close-ups. 

I created these tiny labels from tags from the ephemera pack and from the 6×6″ pad, available as an add on this month.

For a final touch I splattered Heidi Swapp Color Shine in pink around the flowers.

Another layered label and a very trendy flamingo (still another one left in the ephemera pack. YAY!) You can see that I outlined the cactus with thin black pen for better contrast.
